Dance Contest Sketch

Here is a sketch of the game, Dance Contest, when they just started to design it.

Newspaper Issue 171

Newspaper Issue 171 was released today.

Winter Fiesta will start January 23.

Although the Dance-A-Thon is over, the Dance Contest game will remain. All players will be able to play solo, while members could play together.

The In Focus is on the entire Club Penguin island.

The secret this week is about secrets around Club Penguin. For example, you can find the key to Rockhopper’s Quarter in the Book Room. Only PSA members can access the Agent HQ (Become a Secret Agent). There is a special room for those special “Elite” penguins. If you have a code for Elite Penguin Foce, make sure you unlock it to access that room (Learn to unlock it).  The Ninja Hideout can be accessed by those who have beaten Sensei in Card Jitsu.

The puzzle this week is a Puffle So-Cute-O. Here’s the solution.

Here are the upcoming events.

• January 23 – Winter Fiesta begins!
• January 30 – New sports catalog
• January 30 – New pin hidden
• February 6 – New clothing catalog

Members can now see a badge on their player card when they log in.

The “Edit Player” icon is also a badge.

If you are not a member, don’t feel bad. If no one was paying Club Penguin, then it wouldn’t exist at all. Here’s what Billybob wrote:

We received an overwhelming amount of emails and comments from all of you members over the weekend thanking us for the Dance Party–but WE should be thanking you!

It’s because of you that we are able to keep turning the great ideas and suggestions from the community into reality in Club Penguin. Without you guys we wouldn’t be able to make Club Penguin as fun and safe as it is for everyone. So thank you for all your passion and contribution to the game!

Over the weekend, many of you let us know not only how happy you were we finally had another member party, but asked if we can do more for members in the future.

We are listening – and the answer is yes! This year, we’re going to be adding more creative and exciting activities for you to do as members–and we decided to start now.

The Dance Contest game is going to stick around and we’re giving you the multiplayer mode exclusively! Everyone will be able to play solo, but we wanted to give members something special.

We also decided to add one more thing to the game today–if you’re a member, check your Penguin Mail and look closely at your player card. Then let us know what you think!

We will continue making Club Penguin fun for everyone, but without members Club Penguin couldn’t exist.

I hope you all understand and don’t get mad at Club Penguin.

Also, every member penguin should have received a Penguin Mail regarding the Member Badges.

In other news, the game, Dance Contest, will be staying even after the the Dance-A-Thon ends. Everyone will be able to play it solo, but the multiplayer mode will only be available for members.
