As we discussed a couple of weeks ago, Pottermore will soon be opening up to everyone! Soon, you’ll have the opportunity to register if you haven’t already done so, and your account will be activated shortly after. You’ll be sorted into one of the four Hogwarts houses, have a wand choose you, and explore every other portion of Pottermore that is currently available.

So far, only book 1 is available. If you haven’t already gotten through it, definitely take a look at our Pottermore Book 1 Walkthrough Guide. As for book 2, seems like I was a bit off about the date it will be released (per my previous theory). Nonetheless, I’m hoping they’ll release book 2 soon, so those of us who are done with book 1 can move on to something new!

Pottermore was closed for scheduled maintenance from yesterday 8AM GMT for approximately one week. Pottermore has alerted all of their beta users about this via em ail.

The Pottermore staff has announced that Pottermore will be opening its registration to everyone early next month, in April 2012. The reason for the months of delay is that the Pottermore team wanted to make sure they understood how folks use the site. Now that they have obtained feedback from the beta users, it’s time for them to release it all to the public.

Are you excited? If you haven’t gotten an account yet, April will be your chance to finally join Pottermore!
