Club Penguin Blog: Thanks for Playing Club Penguin in the Russian and German Languages

Next week the Russian and German versions of Club Penguin will be shut down for good, so Megg has made a blog post about it. Here it is:

Hi Penguins,

As you may know, back in July we announced that Club Penguin in the Russian and German languages will be closing Sept. 2, 2015. Once again, those of you that are affected by this are ALWAYS welcome on our other languages.

To say thanks to all of you in the community for your dedication and enthusiasm. We’ve gathered up some of our favorite pictures that were submitted to celebrate our Russian and German players.

Club Penguin Updates Comment System To Show Outfit and Account Age

The other day Club Penguin overhauled their blog comment system, and for the better. Now you have to login to your penguin account when leaving a comment!

Once you post a comment your penguin’s outfit and account age will appear beside it. Great!

Club Penguin’s Penguin of the Week – Galaxyswag

On Monday Club Penguin announced this weeks Penguin of the Week – Galaxyswag!

Galaxyswag was nominated by Dustyrose16, who said the following:

“I would like to nominate Galaxyswag for penguin of the week. She helped me feel better when I was sad. We hang out all the time so I won’t be alone. When I was new to this game, she taught me how to play the game. She also taught me some fashion advice. So that’s why I would like to nominate Galaxyswag.”

As a reward 10,000 coins and the Penguin of the Week background were added to Galaxyswag’s account. Congratulations!

Club Penguin App Receives v1.6.9 Update

Earlier this week, specifically Monday, Club Penguin’s mobile app for iOS and Android was updated to version 1.6.9. It contains some improvements for the Fashion Festival, which is taking place right now!

The app update also has a new icon. Here’s the new icon:

Club Penguin Project Super Secret Video: Express Yourself

Last week Club Penguin shared a new Project Super Secret video, titled ‘Express Yourself’. This one has to do with a penguin expressing how it feels.

Club Penguin Announces September 2015 Descendants Party

Last week Megg announced on the Club Penguin Blog that September’s party is going to be a Descendants Party/Descendants Takeover! Here’s some concept artwork she gave out alongside her announcement:
