Last Week’s Penguin of the Week: Sir Sillines

Last week Daffodaily5 posted their first ever Penguin of the Week on the blog! The selected penguin was Sir Sillines. Here is why he was picked:

Congratulations to our first POTW Sir Sillines (ace name btw!) He is one loyal EPF Agent, always preparing fellow agents for upcoming operations and briefing everyone on the latest EPF news. I’ve no doubt he’s been a star puffle-rescuer this week! EPIC agent!

As a reward he got 10,000 coins and the Green Viking Helmet. Nice!

Club Penguin Blog: News From The UK Team

Recently on the Club Penguin Blog Daffodaily5 posted an update on what the UK team has been up to! Here is what she wrote:

Do you sometimes wonder what happens in the UK Club Penguin office in Brighton? As well as working super hard looking after Club Penguin, we also do other stuff to help make the world a better place! So I thought it would be a brill idea to share some of the cool things that the UK team’s been up to recently!

Love In A Box
Each year, when the festive season is approaching, the whole team goes on an outing to purchase lots of small gifts and supplies, which we then put in empty shoe boxes and send out to deprived children in Europe. This year’s event was a huge success as we filled and wrapped 53 boxes!! Everybody had such a brill time knowing we were donating to such a worthy cause. You can see my box below!

Donating Blood
5 brave members of the team did a very honourable deed last week and donated blood! I went too, even though I don’t like needles (I hope you’re proud of me)! It was totally worth it though, because as well as us potentially saving a person’s life, they gave us tea and BISCUITS afterwards! 😀

Preparing for Christmas
Tree? CHECK! Decorations? CHECK! A giant fake snow machine??? I wish! 😉  To get us all in the seasonal sprit, the whole team gathered to decorate the office in twinkling lights, tinsel and other sparkly things! Not long till Christmas now, right?

Prehistoric Party 2014 Confirmed By Polo Field

Recently on Twitter Polo Field announced what the January 2014 party will be on Club Penguin! Just like this January it is going to be a Prehistoric Party.

This will be Club Penguin’s second Prehistoric Party. Are you excited?

Operation: Puffle – Defeating Herbert

This is it, Agents, the time has come to infiltrate Herbert’s secret lair and deactivate his Mind Control machine using the Puffle Chips.

Once you’ve got in your possession all 10 chips, Gary will talk to you:

You’ll be transported to another room where, behind the waterfall, Herbert’s lair’s door reveals itself:

Upon entering, you’ll have to place the 10 Puffle chips in their corresponding slots on the machine:

Once you’ve completed the above, you’ll be shown this screen and you’ll be able to collect the ‘Puffle Freedom Statue’ and 5000 coins:

You have now rescued all the Puffles under Herbert’s control; congratulations!

Operation: Puffle – Rescuing the Purple Puffle

November 30th is the day in which we, the EPF, must help rescue the Purple Puffles who are being mind-controlled by Herbert P. Bear.

Here’s what you’ll need to do in order to help them out:

Click on the ‘Operation: Puffle’ logo on the top right of the screen. You’ll see this page:

Click the Red Puffle silhouette towards the top.

Now, waddle over to the right where there’s a hole glowing. As you get nearer, a mind-controlled Puffle will jump out. You should see the next screen, and if you’re a Member, be sure to bring your Gold Puffle to uncover rare Gold items:

Once you’ve completed the chase using the ↓ key on your keyboard, you’ll be shown the following screen along with all the Gold items your Puffle dug up, and the unlocked ‘Survival Snorkel’ & ‘Rescue Diver Suit’ items:

Congratulations on saving some Purple Puffles!

Now, we go on to save all other Puffles and defeat Herbert… Good Luck, Agents.

For the last year we have been working on something HUGE! We have been building a WHOLE NEW technology to take Club Penguin into the future. Right now we’re calling it CPNext. CPNext will allow us to take the Penguin world to new platforms and devices – connecting our community here on clubpenguin.com to mobile devices on iOS and Android, smart TVs, and who knows what else may come?!

CPNext will look and feel just like Club Penguin today, with a few improvements along the way. We want it to feel as close as possible to the CP community you love! You’ve already seen the first version of the CPNext technology on “My Penguin” for iPad… mobile igloos are built on it already. We’ve worked hard to make sure that the CPNext igloos are fully connected with igloos on desktop, so the experience across both is totally seamless.

With CPNext, we will finally be launching the Jump to Friend feature! To make things simpler and faster, you can just jump to where your friend is right when you log in. Much simpler and easier than in current CP! We know this has been a long requested feature – and it’s finally coming!

We know that there is some concern about always having full rooms. Don’t worry! We’ve built a lot of smarts into the system to make sure you stay with your friends when you go from room to room. And we will be watching and listening and can turn up or down then number of Penguins in a room based on your feedback. This is your world and we will work with you to find the right balance!

We will be taking our “next” step with CPNext in December with the launch of the Town on iPad. We will then start launching new rooms into the app every few weeks! Over the next few months you are going to see the CP world come to life on mobile. And for those of you with iPhones, iPod Touch, or Android devices – we are working on these NOW and plan to bring the Club Penguin app to you, too!

This is only a tiny bit of what we have planned – wait ’til you see the future for Puffles and Card-Jitsu… 😉
