Making Items in Club Penguin

Today, Screenhog was talking about how the team makes items behind the scene. Here are the basic steps: Decide, Design, Draw, 3D.

Decide: They first have to decide on what the item is going to be and where it is going to be used.

Design: A rough draft of the item is made. (First picture)

Draw: A final drawing is made. In this version, they clean up the rough draft. Shading, details, and colors are also added. (Second picture)

3D: The item is made into 3 dimension!

Mysterious Penguin Contest #1

For the next few days, there will be many contests which will involve you guessing which clothing the penguin is wearing. Here’s the first one.

Which items are this penguin wearing? Take a random guess and put it in a comment! (Doesn’t this penguin seem blubberish =D)

Club Penguin Game Designer Interview

Here is  an interview between Happy77 and a game designer.

Q: So what’s your absolute fave game in Club Penguin and why?
A: Treasure Hunt (I love it partly because I got to help Screenhog make it and partly because it’s multiplayer). I also like playing Cart Surfer and Jet Pack Adventure. I like Catchin’ Waves… but I’m not terribly good at it.

Q: Do you eat candy while you create games?
A: Loads of it – But we’ve got healthy candy… like those grain bars.

Q: What do you like best about games in general?
A: It’s brilliant when you get to play games with friends.

Member Badge Glitch

There have been a glitch with the Member Badges. Neither the smiley face or the member badges appear.

I am talking about if you are looking at someone else’s player card, not your own. If you are looking at your own player card, and you are a member, you should be able to see it.

Bots and Other News

Many of you have asked me to explain bots. Soon (probably in a week) I will be teaching you all to make bots. Well, actually running bots since making bots require knowledge of PHP (a very complicated language). I will most likely to make a post about it next weekend so stay tuned.

In other news, not many people have been checking our Elite Penguin Force Blog. If you have Elite Penguin Force, you might want to stay updated with us. We will also be adding a forum and a wiki next month.

I would like to thank all who attend the 90,000 hits party yesterday. I will be uploading a video soon so everyone all around can see it. We will probably be having another party at the end of February, perhaps for 150,000 or 200,000 hits. We will see about it then. If the number is right in the middle, it might just be a winter party. It will be great if you could tell all your friends about this site. If you have a blog, you can write about us. We can also add you to our blogroll.

About our blogroll, we will create a new one in a day or two. For those who are already in my blogroll, you will remain. The blogroll is available in the sidebar and tell me what you think of the design. I will be creating a blogroll signup page in a week or two.

Many of the site viewers don’t live in the United States, and are unable to buy Plush Toys to unlock items. I have been able to earn money from different things from the Internet. Basically, it all means I will be having a contest soon (again, in February.)

If you are wondering where the money comes from, it comes from the advertisements on the Elite Penguin Force Blog. We get money every time one of the advertisements is clicked. Don’t waste your time clicking the advertisements 50 times because I will only get money for one click a day. I get between 5¢ and $10 (unlikely)per click. Usually each click will get me 30¢.

I might decide to put some advertisement on this part of the site as well (perhaps in the sidebar.) From what I think, this blog will probably always get more hits than the Elite Penguin Force Blog.The forum might also generate some extra revenue.

We have been getting many comments lately and we will be having moderators. To become a moderator, basically answer questions other penguins ask (in comments.) Try to use the same account over time. We suggest you use a Blogger account to comment to prevent people from impersonating you. If you have a Google/Gmail account, you automatically have a blogger account. Just use your Gmail username/password to log in on the comment form (this is NOT phinishing.) If you didn’t know our blog is powered by Google.

The team members (me, Ice Kid, 123ce, and more) will get to choose the moderators. There will be 5 in total and there names will be seen by everyone who glances at the sidebar. We will add this once people start trying to become moderators.

I have been talking to many people on Skype, and my username is clubpenguin163. A lot of people have been asking for my password lately. If you are going to ask me for my password, please don’t even bother to add me. You will neither get me to log off, give you several wrong password, convince you out of it, debate with you (I love this option – it’s really fun,) or just block you from my list if it gets severe.
