Here is the question for day 6: How many chapters are there in HARRY POTTER and the Half-Blood Prince? Multiply this number by 14.

The answer is to the question is 420, 30 x 14 = 420 so browse to http://quill.pottermore.com/420.

To get the quill, you must go to the link above (the quill link), skip the movie and then catch the feather on the map.

The registration process afterwards is pretty much self explanatory. Be sure to activate your account after you register (and use a valid email too). You will receive an email like the following, typically minutes after registration (although it can take longer).

  12. My registration email came super quick. You should hurry and register as soon as you get it, because yesterday I missed finishing the challenge because the site overloaded… so you wouldn’t want to miss out on registering after coming so far.

  13. It doesn’t direct me anywhere… at first it did to a page that said it had disappeared, and now, it only directs me to the pottermore home website… does that mean i’m too late?? HELP!

  24. I already got in and received the validation email, but when I try to register, it says that my password isn’t recognised. What’s up with this?D:

    • The Pottermore FAQ says,

      Can I enter Pottermore as soon as I have registered?
      No. After you have registered (by submitting your details and validating your registration via the email sent to you), we will send you a Welcome email letting you know that you can gain access Pottermore. Due to the number of people seeking to register, you may have to wait several weeks before receiving this email.

    but know it wont let me sign in?!
    also, when i click the link for the verification, it says some like “error” then tells me to make a new acount?
    What happened to my acount?

    • when i got the varifiction email, it authomatlically said thank you for varifying, and stuff.

  31. I have an account now but I still haven’t access to Pottermore. It says that I have to wait a few weeks for the Welcome email. Did you get the email? If yes, how long did you have to wait? Please help! :S

  32. Hey I’m hoping that you can help.. I got in on day 5 it redirected me to the scholastic page, i filled in all my stuff blah blah blah, and it then said that it would send me an e-mail. I’ve checked and double checked but it still hast come. I have a Yahoo email and I know there has been a previous problem with Yahoo. Is this going to be fixed?? Or did I lose my spot? And yes. I gave the right email address.

  34. There isn’t Day 7. The Magical Quill challenge in over and for some that didn’t get in, Pottermore will be open in October.
